The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 in New York now tops 25,000 statewide, as nine more people passed away since yesterday. In total, 831 new cases were identified over the past 24-hours, with 92 people testing positive throughout both of Long Island's counties.
Governor Cuomo says residents must continue to be smart by wearing a face-covering, washing their hands, and practicing social-distancing.
During testing yesterday, 1.3 percent of those screened came back positive, while at the state's hospitals less than 100 people are currently on respirators.
