Malls in Rochester Region Allowed to Reopen Today

After being shut down for months by the coronavirus, malls across Upstate New York will finally have shoppers inside today. But the state has come up with guidelines to keep everyone safe.

Malls will need to make sure people stay six feet apart, establish designated delivery areas and have air filters to keep folks from being exposed to the virus.

The number of employees and shoppers is also being capped at no more than half of a mall's maximum capacity.

Some stores might not be open today, because they have had just two days to call back employees.
