Governor Cuomo says we will know more soon about what it will take for schools to reopen in September.
His team has been talking with local school districts and will have finalized guidelines on Monday.
The districts will then have until the end of the month to submit plans on how they would reopen, including what their precautions would be and whether or not they would do a phased re-opening.
In the first week of August, the state will announce a decision on whether the schools can reopen.
