Upstate NY Civil Rights Pioneers to Appear in Planned National Garden

President Trump plans on including three civil rights pioneers with ties to Upstate New York in his National Garden of American Heroes if he wins a second term.

According to an executive order from the president, the Garden would feature more than 30 people and events that played significant roles in American history.

Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, and Harriet Tubman were included in his list.

His executive order says the garden should open before July 4, 2024.

The order also says that priority should be given to monuments of former presidents, to individuals and events relating to the discovery of America and the founding of the United States, and the abolition of slavery.
