737 Off Runway Forces ROC Airport to Close

Both runways at the Rochester airport are closed because a 737 cargo jet went off a runway as it was taking off and ended up in the grass near a second runway.

The two crewmakers are OK.

The DHL cargo plane is operated by affiliate Kalitta Air.

Airport Operations is working to move the aircraft and reopen the runways.

One inbound flight has been diverted and another has been delayed.
