No Injuries Reported Following Two House Fires In Rochester

Rochester firefighters say two nighttime house fires were caused by electrical problems and no one was hurt.

The first broke out just before 10 p.m. on South Avenue, near Highland Hospital. The fire spread from the basement into the first floor apartment. Four people were left homeless.

The second was reported around 1 a.m. on Westfield Street in the 19th Ward. The fire was contained to a small portion of a bedroom.
