NYS Legislature Members Back In Albany

Members of the state Legislature will be back in Albany this week to discuss coronavirus-related legislation.

Some of the proposed bills include a rent freeze, a tax increase on the wealthy and help for small business owners and essential workers.

Governor Cuomo says while he's glad to see lawmakers getting back to work, he's asking them to keep the state's dire financial situation in mind when it comes to passing new legislation. Right now, New York is facing a multi-billion dollar budget deficit.
