Governor Andrew Cuomo says horse racing can reopen at tracks across New York, and auto racing can resume at Watkins Glen. Both activities will resume without fans or crowds, but will be on television.
The governor says he and his staff are looking over a wide range of businesses to see which can reopen without crowds, which could spread the COVID-19 virus.
Cuomo reports that hospitalizations continue to drop statewide, and new cases of the disease are down to 400 between Friday and Saturday mornings. There were 157 deaths, a stubborn number the governor says is hard to bring down.
