RPD Investigates Shooting Death Of Clerk In Beechwood Neighborhood

Rochester police are investigating the shooting death of a clerk at a corner store on the city's Beechwood neighborhood.

It happened around 9:20 last night.

Officers say the man in his 30s was shot to death inside Chappa Groceries, at the corner of Grand Ave and Chamberlain St.

His name is being withheld, and police aren't speculating on a motive for the shooting.

Police have made no arrests.

It is the ninth homicide in the city this year.
