Gates police say no one was hurt when someone fired a shot at a car at the Kwik Fill near Elmgrove and Spencerport Roads.
The car was at a gas pump when the window was hit by a bullet.
When police showed up, another round was fired in the area.
Police told people living nearby to shelter in place and used a helicopter to try to find the shooter.
No one has been arrested.
