Rochester City School Board Meets To Discuss Budget

The Rochester school board meets this evening to hear changes to the proposed budget for the next school year.

The district is looking for ways to cut more than $80 million to balance the budget, but some board members objected to some cuts outlined earlier this month by Superintendent Terry Dade.

Dade announced last week he is leaving in July for another job.

The D&C reports he was absent for a budget conference Friday with the school board and the city council.
