URMC Provides Updates On Coronavirus Treatment and Therapy

Doctors at University of Rochester Medical Center are giving an update on their response to the coronavirus pandemic, and how they are treating COVID-19 patients.

Chief of Hospital Medicine, Dr. Justin Hopkin says right now UR Medicine is participating in clinical trials to see if therapy treatments are working for patients.

Officials say right now they still don't know if the benefit outweighs the risk of the treatment.

Strong Hospital is currently treating 57 patients who have tested positive for coronavirus, with 31 in the ICU.
