Cuomo Updates On Numbers Of Hospitalizations, Deaths From COVID-19

Governor Cuomo says the increase in hospitalizations Saturday from COVID-19 was the lowest since the state started keeping track...but the number of people dying every day from the disease has been over 700 for the last five days.

The governor says the hospitalization numbers have flattened out, but remain at a plateau of more than 18,000 patients.

As for when the economy can reopen, Cuomo said he's working with the governors of neighboring states on a regional approach to starting business and schools again.

He says it will be coordinated -- and based on public health advice -- to avoid a rebound of infections. He said nothing about when it might happen.
