For the first time, Monroe County health officials have released race and ethnicity breakdowns for the county's COVID-19 patients.
While African-Americans represent 16% of the county's population, they are 54% of the patients in intensive care and 28% of all patients hospitalized.
Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren says the city's minority population is not social distancing enough, and Rochester residents have to be diligent in changing their habits.
Warren says her office will be working with community partners and County Health officials to make sure the community is getting the information it needs.
