Spring, Summer Festivals Fall Victim to Coronavirus Pandemic

Rochester's spring and summer festivals are falling away one-by-one because of the coronavirus.

Organizers of the Corn Hill Arts Festival in July have called it off because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Corn Hill Neighbors Association says it will be looking for other ways to support the more than 300 artists who participate in the festival. The Park Avenue Festival in August has been canceled. And Fairport Canal Days announced Wednesday afternoon that the Canal Festival is off until next June. They will look ahead to 2021 rather than trying to reschedule this year.

The Lilac Festival in May, and the Jazz Festival in June have also been called off -- though organizers haven't ruled out rescheduling for later in the year.
