New York State Reports Over 25,000 COVID-19 Cases

Governor Cuomo says the coronavirus cases numbers in New York state are growing faster than feared, and that means the state will need even more hospital capacity than thought.

New York now has over 25-thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus within the state, and 210 deaths attributed to the disease.

Cuomo says the state will need 140,000 beds, including 40,000 for intensive care.

And he says he will use college dorms and even hotels to find the space.

Cuomo also says the state can't get the 30,000 ventilators that will be needed. He is again urging the Trump administration to use defense procurement powers to force companies to make them.
