US Justice Department Wants Reports Of COVID-19 Fraud Schemes

The U.S. Justice Department is urging you to report suspected fraud schemes related to the Coronavirus.

You can call the National Center for Disaster Fraud hotline (1-866-720-5721) or send an email to disaster@leo.gov .

Federal prosecutors have been ordered by the Attorney General to prioritize the investigation and prosecution of coronavirus fraud schemes.

Examples include sales of fake cures online, and phishing emails from entities posing as the World Health Organization or the Centers for Disease Control.

Others include solicitations for illegitimate or non-existent charities.
