Monroe County Child Protective Services Assigned A Monitor

Monroe County's office of Child Protective Services is being assigned a monitor -- a move that was recommended by the state in 2018.

The Deputy County Executive for Health and Human Services, Corinda Crossdale, says the monitoring services will come from the consulting firm the Bonadio Group.

Crossdale says the Bonadio Group will review and evaluate the procedures and practices of the county's CPS office.

County Executive Adam Bello says over the last few years there has been a lot of work put in to make sure there have been upgrades in technology and an increase in hiring more case workers, but he says more work needs to be done.
