Property Owners On Lake Ontario May Be Able to Sue IJC

A proposal in Congress could let property owners along Lake Ontario sue the International Joint Commission.

Its called the “IJC Accountability Act” and would allow property owners to sue over damages from the devastating floods in 2017 and 2019.

Currently, federal law prohibits the IJC from being held liable for damages.

Many blame IJC's Plan 2014 which set up new regulations for water levels the Lake, for the flooding.
