Rochester police say a 20-year veteran officer was stabbed in the face when officers responded to a report of a possibly disturbed man on Glendale Park.
It happened around 11:30 Sunday morning.
Police say the man ran outside a home and charged at the officers with a knife. The officer who was stabbed fired several shots, and at least one wounded the man.
Both are expected to survive.
No names have been released.
