Justice Rosenbaum Relieved of Duties; Conduct Investigated

New York State Supreme Court Justice Matthew Rosenbaum has been relieved of all his judicial duties and is under investigation for judicial misconduct. According to a spokesperson for the New York State Unified Court System, the Office of Court Administration after it was made aware of the allegations the Inspector General opened an investigation. The State Commission on Judicial Conduct was also contacted. His case may be referred to the Monroe County District Attorney. Rosenbaum's case inventory has been reassigned and he has had his access restricted from nonpublic areas of the courthouse. Rosenbaum was reelected in November, but has declined to take office next month. It is not yet known what the allegations facing Rosenbaum are, or who may take his seat as a State Supreme Court Justice.
