Cuomo Reveals Legislation Plans At State Of The State

Governor Cuomo gives his State of the State address January 8th, and he's revealing more of the legislation he'd like to see passed in the New Year.

The governor is calling for a ban on fentanyl analogs, which are drugs that imitate the synthetic opioid fentanyl.

The legislation would allow fentanyl analogs to be subject to the same drug possession and criminal sale laws that apply to other narcotics.

The governor is also asking lawmakers to pass a bill that would automatically require recounts in close statewide elections.

For that to happen, a margin of victory would have to be within two-tenths of a percent of all cast ballots.
