Voters to Decide on Fairport School District Renovation Project

People living in the Fairport School District will vote today on the proposed $56 million school upgrade project.

According to the district, more than half of the money will be spent at Fairport High School.

Plans call for renovations to the cafeteria and the gym, new lockers and new athletic fields.

All the schools would get secure entrances and new boilers.

Two schools would get science classroom upgrades.

The voting takes place until 9 tonight at the Johanna Perrin Middle School gymnasium.
