Webster Schroeder High School Student Facing Felony Terrorist Charge

A student at Webster Schroeder High School is facing a felony charge for a threatening message posted on social media.

Eighteen-year-old Bernardo Melendez, Jr. was arrested for allegedly making a terrorist threat.

School officials say Melendez used Snapchat to post a picture of himself holding what appeared to be a gun and with a message threatening the school community.

A parent notified the school district, and the district contacted police.

Melendez has been suspended.

Webster Police say it appears to be an isolated incident.
