One person is dead and two people are critically injured following a one vehicle crash in Gates this afternoon.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on Rt. 531 East near the I-490 interchange shortly after 12:30. The vehicle went off the road, down an embankment and struck a tree.
All three people in the vehicle were adults. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
