NYS Residents Could See Lower Heating Bills this Winter

Your heating bill this winter might be a little lower than last year.

The New York State Public Service Commission says prices for electric and gas are expected to be lower, and the winter temperatures are expected to be near normal.

Households using an average of 600 kilowatt-hours of electric heat can expect to pay $34 per month.

Households using natural gas can expect to pay around $152 per month.
