Charges Filed Following Fatal Crash in Steuben County

The driver who survived the Steuben County crash this month that killed four passengers is being charged with DWI and aggravated vehicular homicide.

Authorities say Dustin Drake, of Prattsburgh, turned himself in yesterday.

The crash happened October 12 on County Route 76 in Pulteney. Investigators said Drake was speeding when his vehicle hit a tree.

Drake survived, but the crash killed Korbie Higgins, of Bath; Coy Miner, of Hammondsport; Adam Bellamy, of Pulteney; and Nicole Wise, of Prattsburgh.

At least some of those passengers were not wearing seat belts.

Drake has a prior DWI conviction.
