Members of State Senate to Hold Discussions on School District Funding

Starting this week, members of the state Senate will begin holding roundtables to discuss New York's school funding formula.

Those calculations haven't been significantly changed since the current system was launched in 2007.

Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins says real discussions are needed on how the state's roughly 950 school districts are funded.

The Western New York forum is set for this Friday at the Roswell Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo.
