RPD Officers Now Riding in "2-Badge" Cars

For the time being, Rochester police officers will ride in "two-badge" patrol cars following last week's brutal stabbing attack on officer Denny Wright.

Wright was alone when he responded to a family trouble call on Peck Street and was stabbed repeatedly by the suspect he was trying to interview.

Officers will now ride two to a car, and Chief La'Ron Singletary says that policy will continue indefinitely.
