Man Who Stabbed RPD In Eye Still Not Named, Charged

Authorities still have not charged or name the Rochester man suspected of stabbing and seriously injuring Rochester Police Officer Dennison Wright.

Wright remained in intensive care over the weekend, following the attack Friday at an address on Peck Street. Wright had gone there for a report of a domestic dispute.

The attack left him with wounds to his face and head. Another officer used a Taser to arrest the suspect.

DA Sandra Doorley says the suspect, who is hospitalized, could be charged with aggravated assault or attempted murder.
