A Rochester police car was struck yesterday by a car that ran a red light at East Main and State Streets downtown. The officer was taken to Strong Hospital with a head injury, and the driver of the other car was also taken to Strong to be checked out. Their injuries did not appear to be serious. The driver was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.
