RPD Identify Men Arrested Following Chase on City's Southwest Side

Rochester police have released the names of the two men arrested after the chase last night on the city's southwest side.

Police say Kamel Davis, of Rochester, was the man who ran from officers near Champlain and Jefferson, then was caught with a loaded gun.

Davis is facing weapon charges and resisting arrest and is wanted in another county for a gang assault.

Police say Lawrence Rogers, of Fairport, is the man who punched the officer who was arresting Davis.

Rogers is charged with assault, resisting arrest and is wanted on a warrant from Wayne County.
