Plea Deal Reached In Deadly Greece Crash

There is a plea deal in the head-on crash last June that killed a Hilton High School senior just days before graduation.

Brianna Scarpulla was in court today, and pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and reckless driving in connection with the crash in Greece that killed her friend, Paige Smith.

Police said Scarpulla was speeding on Latta Road when she lost control of her car, crossed the center line and hit an SUV. The other driver was injured.

As part of the plea deal, Scarpulla will be sentenced to one year probation and will be given youthful offender status.
