NY AG: 23 People Charged Following Drug Trafficking Network Bust

Area law enforcement agencies have broken up a drug trafficking network with the indictment of 23 people.

Attorney General Letitia James says the defendants are charged with over 100 crimes for allegedly distributing heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine in and around Monroe County.

The investigation was called Operation Gray Roc -- because the ring was selling a lethal gray mix of drugs known on the street as "Gray Death".

The work spanned 13-months and included stakeouts, wiretaps and a raid at garages on 961 Lyell Avenue in Rochester that netted two pounds of cocaine, more than $48,000 in cash and two loaded firearms.

The investigation also led to the recovery of more than 250 pre-packaged bags of heroin and fentanyl and a third loaded gun.
