Defendant in Sodus Double Homicide Sentenced to Prison Time

A Texas police officer who admitted assisting a double murder plot in Sodus has been sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison.

Bron Bohlar pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge after the shooting deaths last fall of Josh Niles and his girlfriend Amber Washburn.

He admitted renting the car used by Timothy Dean and Dean's wife, Charlene Childers, to travel to Sodus to kill the victims.

At the sentencing today, the judge called Bohlar "despicable" and said he wished he had never allowed the plea deal.

Childers pleaded guilty to manslaughter and Dean was found guilty of murder.
