Plans are in the works to deliver free high-speed internet access to eligible high school students in the Rochester City School District.
It's being made possible with a grant from the 1Million Project Foundation.
Starting this fall, students in grades 9 through 12 -- who don't have reliable internet access -- will get mobile hot spot equipment for their district-issued Chromebooks.
The district says roughly 4,000 students will get the mobile hot spot gear so they can do research at home.
More details will be announced later today.
