NYS Senate to Vote on Bill to Change New York's Double Jeopardy Laws

The state Senate will hold a vote today on a bill that would affect a president's pardon power.

The legislation would change New York's double jeopardy laws and boost the ability of prosecutors to take up cases already resolved at the federal level.

It would apply to anyone who is pardoned for helping the president avoid criminal prosecution.

Assembly Democrats say they'll likely vote on the bill before the end of this year's legislative session.
