The Harley School, Allendale Columbia to Merge

Two of Rochester's best-known private schools are merging.

In a letter to parents, staff and students, the Harley School trustees say their school will be merging with the Allendale Columbia school. The larger Harley school will lead the merger process and assume responsibility for operations at both schools beginning June 30th.

Harley School Board Chairman Scott Frame says both schools will run as is through the next academic year. Students currently in the 11th and 12th grades will graduate from their current schools. Both schools will unify into a single program beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.

A town hall meeting will be held on the evening of May 6th at the Harley School Theater.
