NYS DOT Wants to Make Portion of Lake Ave. Safer for Pedestrians

The state transportation department wants to make a nearly two-mile section of Lake Avenue safer for pedestrians.

Plans call for new signs, signal upgrades and new crosswalk markings along Lake Avenue between Lyell Avenue and Flower City Park.

Some pedestrians have been injured -- or killed -- in that area. The project is expected to start this summer.
