Rochester City Council member Adam McFadden pleaded guilty in a federal investigation Monday morning. McFadden was arrested in February in connection to a fraud and money laundering investigation related to the Rochester Housing Authority. He was charged with wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. If the case went to trial McFadden could have faced up to 20 years in prison if found guilty. McFadden agreed to a plea deal where he will spend 12-18 months in prison.
