Home Destroyed by Three Alarm Fire on Monroe Ave. in Rochester

A home is destroyed following a three alarm fire in Rochester last night.

Fire crews were called to the three story home on Monroe Avenue around nine o'clock last night. Officials believe the fire started on an second story balcony and spread to the attic.

Fire officials say two cats were killed in the fire and one firefighter suffered burns to his ear.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The building is being torn down.
