Deputy Struck in Sodus Released from Hospital

A Wayne County sheriff's deputy who was hurt in a crash Tuesday morning is out of the hospital.

Deputies say Sergeant Gilbert Sterk was waiting to turn from Route 104 in Sodus onto Redman Road when his car was rear-ended Tuesday.

His car was pushed into the oncoming lane and was hit by another vehicle. The driver that hit Sterk's car, Jared Sherwin of Rochester, also was injured. The driver of the third vehicle wasn't hurt.
