The Town of Irondequoit is getting a refund from RG&E.
Town Supervisor Dave Seeley announced today that the town recently received nearly $182,000 in refund checks for past billing errors and overcharges of street lighting equipment.
These over payments were discovered by an audit conducted by Buffalo-based Troy & Banks -- of bills dating back to 2013.
Seeley says the refund will be reinvested in the community.
