Coach Boeheim Speaks Out About Tragic Wednesday Night Accident

Syracuse University Men's Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim says he's never going to feel better about the accident he was involved in Wednesday night...not tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now or a year from now.

Boeheim says he coached Saturday night's game against Duke because he owed it to his players.

Boeheim came suddenly on a wrecked car blocking part of I-690 Wednesday night. He swerved around it, but ended up hitting 51-year-old Jorge Jimenez who was in the road trying to get to the safety of the median after jumping out of the car. Boeheim expressed sorrow for the Jimenez family, and thanks for fans who welcomed him onto the floor with a standing ovation at the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

Syracuse ended up losing to Duke, 75-65.
