$35,000 Reward Offered After 1-Year-Old Boy Shot In The Head In Chicago

Community activists in Chicago have offered a $35,000 reward for any information that leads to the capture of the people responsible for shooting a 1-year-old child in the head during a drive-by shooting. The young boy, identified as Dejon Irving , was in a parked SUV with his mother and three others when a car pulled up next to them and opened fire. Around eight shots were fired and only Dejon was struck.

The child's grandmother heard the gunfire and rushed outside. She drove them to the hospital where Irving remains on life support. He is listed in critical condition while doctors try to save his life.

Authorities said they believe the shooters were targeting the boy's mother. They released a photo of the suspect's dark four-door sedan , hoping somebody will be able to identify whoever was behind the attack.
