Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer have announced their guests for tonight's State of the Union address.
Senator Gillibrand has invited Navy Lieutenant Commander Blake Dremann to attend. Dremann is transgender, and Gillibrand is planning to introduce a bill protecting active and future transgender members of the military.
Meanwhile, Senator Schumer is bringing an air traffic controller from Long Island. Ronan Byrne is a father of four and had no income during the recent government shutdown.
