Tractor Trailers that Violated Ban Will Have to Face Fines

The governor's office says the tractor trailer drivers involved in the big pileup on the Thruway yesterday could face charges and fines for violating the ban on the big rigs.

Twenty-one cars and trucks were involved in the wreck near Batavia. It happened after the governor banned the tractor-trailers west of Henrietta.

A state trooper's cruiser was involved in the pileup, and the trooper has minor injuries.

Violators of the truck ban face fines up to $450, two points and potential criminal charges.
