Public Meetings This Week Regarding Rochester Police Accountability Board

There are two more public meetings this week on plans in Rochester to create a Police Accountability Board. The next is this evening at 5:30 at the Danforth R Center on West Avenue. Another is set for Thursday evening at 5:30 at the City Hall Atrium.

The mayor's plan leaves it to the police chief to discipline officers who violate the department's rules of conduct. But City Council members want to amend the City Charter to allow the new board to discipline officers.
