Man Charged Following Report of Shots Fired at Greece Apartment Complex

Greece Police have charged 22-year-old Christopher Rivers Jr. in connection with shooting at Affinity Orchard Apartments early this morning. He is charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a weapon.

Deputy Police Chief Drew Forsythe says a shotgun was fired multiple times from a second floor window at the Affinity Orchard Apartments around 2:30 a.m. It was still going on when officers arrived.

No one was hurt. Some people with the man in the apartment were able to get out. A woman and a child were with him when he was arrested.

The complex is off English Road. The nearby West Ridge Elementary School delayed opening for an hour.
