Ontario County Sheriff's say a woman accidentally shot her boyfriend. Investigators say the victim's girlfriend, Miranda Murphy, 23, of Shortsville accidentally fired a 12 gauge shotgun. The victim was found with a metallic material lodged in his head. He was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital with with lacerations to his head, face and damage to his ear. Deputies say Murphy's brother, Casey Murphy, used the same shotgun to repeatedly strike the victim in the head. Both are charged with 2nd degree assault.
